Legal
Terms &
conditions.
Effective date: 13 September 2026
These terms apply to all services provided by Academic Edge Tuition, including consultations, tuition programmes, mentoring and digital resources. Questions about anything below can be sent to info@academicedgetuition.com.
1. About these terms
These terms and conditions govern the use of the Academic Edge Tuition website and the provision of our educational services, including admissions mentoring, personal statement support, subject tuition, academic mentoring and our online homeschooling programme.
By engaging our services or using this website, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website or book our services.
2. Our services
Academic Edge Tuition provides private educational support to students in Years 9–13, including Oxbridge and university admissions guidance, personal statement coaching, GCSE and A-level subject tuition, and structured online homeschooling.
All programmes are delivered online unless otherwise agreed in writing. Places are limited and allocated at our discretion following an initial consultation.
We make no guarantee of admission to any university, school or examination outcome. Results depend on the individual student's effort, preparation and circumstances, and grades achieved by past students do not guarantee similar outcomes.
3. Bookings, fees and payment
Sessions are booked in advance and confirmed once payment is received. Fees are as published on our website or as agreed in writing before commencement of a programme.
Payment is due in advance of the first session of each agreed package unless alternative arrangements have been made in writing.
Prices for digital resources sold through our shop are shown at the point of purchase, and payment is processed by our third-party payment provider.
4. Cancellation and refunds
Sessions may be rescheduled or cancelled without charge provided at least 24 hours' notice is given. Cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice, or failure to attend a booked session, will be charged in full.
Packages and programmes may be cancelled in writing at any time; sessions already delivered will be charged at the standard rate, and any remaining balance will be refunded within 14 days.
Digital resources are non-refundable once downloaded, except where required by law.
5. Parental responsibility and student conduct
For students under 18, bookings must be made by a parent or legal guardian, who accepts these terms on the student's behalf.
Students are expected to engage respectfully and constructively in all sessions. We reserve the right to end a programme where conduct falls materially below this standard, with any unused balance refunded.
6. Testimonials and student privacy
The testimonials and success stories published on this website are genuine accounts from parents and students we have worked with. However, to protect the privacy of the young people involved, pseudonyms are used in place of real names, and identifying details may have been removed or altered where necessary.
7. Intellectual property
All materials provided during sessions, including worksheets, notes, resources and digital downloads, remain the intellectual property of Academic Edge Tuition. They are licensed for the personal use of the student only and may not be copied, shared, resold or redistributed without written permission.
8. Website use and liability
This website is provided for information purposes. We take reasonable care to keep its content accurate and up to date, but we do not accept liability for any reliance placed on it.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud. Otherwise, our liability arising from the use of our services or website is limited to the total fees paid for the programme or resource concerned.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page with its effective date. Continued use of our services after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
